ALBO, SARAH

Sarah has over 20 years of experience working in small and family businesses with 10 years in a management position. She is passionate about mental health with training in counselling and crisis response. She believes work and workplaces can be designed with employee wellbeing in mind, not at the expense of profitability. Sarah is a CMHA Psychological Health and Safety Advisor and holds an MBA from the University of Toronto.

ALLY, BRUCE

Mediating and arbitrating full time since 1985, Bruce has specializations in employment, Workplace Restoration, and has a special interest in the effect of culture in these areas. He is a Dispute Resolution Educator at York University in the Advanced Dispute Resolution Program, as well as a teaching team member with the Lawyer as Negotiator program at Osgoode Hall Law School.

AL-NAIB, YAZAN

Yazan holds an MSc (Mech. Eng.) from King’s College London. He has over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He has worked in negotiation and settlements, organizational development and business strategy. Yazan has completed certificate training at Osgoode Hall, the ADR Institute of Ontario, and Respect Group, extending his expertise to arbitration, mediation and adjudication.

BAKER, GRACE

Grace Baker, C.Med. is a Trauma Informed Workplace Investigator and a practitioner of all Workplace Restoration and Fairness processes. Grace is also a nationally Chartered Mediator with over twenty-three years’ experience mediating in the areas of workplace, civil, family, agriculture, community, and child protection. She coaches and facilitates for federal and provincial governments including high conflict situations as well as for agencies and companies. Grace is also a trainer/instructor for mediation programs and mentors other conflict managers. She available throughout Canada but works primarily in British Columbia and the western provinces.

BARTLETT, LARISSA

Larissa’s extensive academic background led her to focus on conflict management within teams and supporting workplace restorative practices. Larissa’s approach is trauma-informed, inclusive, and compassionate. Larissa holds a B.A. (Hons) from the University of Guelph, a LL.B. from Queen’s University, and a MPEd in the field of Equity, Diversity and Social Justice from Western University. She is also trained in mediation, appreciative inquiry, professional coaching, workplace fairness assessment, and workplace restoration practices. Larissa is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the ADR Institute of Ontario.

BARTLEY, PAULA

Paula is currently a Team Leader with extensive experience working in a unionized public sector environment, delivering training programs and resolving workplace conflict disputes. She currently holds a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management and a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution, both from York University; additionally, she also holds a diploma in Business Administration from Humber College. She is a certified Workplace Fairness Analyst at the Workplace Fairness Institute, and is currently in the process of obtaining her Q.Med designation from ADRIO.

BAR-DAYAN, TOVA

Tova specializes in Human Resources and Labour Relations in both public and private sectors, and unionized and non-unionized environments, (e.g. investigations, grievances, terminations, recruitment, etc.). Fuelled by a passion for the human side of business, Tova established Sage HR Consulting to provide comprehensive services to businesses that may not have sufficient resources or experience to handle, or be proactive about, day-to-day or strategic human resources issues. Tova takes great pride in conducting workplace investigations, assessments, and restoration programs that are thorough, impartial, trauma-informed, and, above all else, put people first.

CASE, BREANNA

Breanna holds a Master of Arts from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs and is in her 2nd year of law school at the University of Alberta. She leads a team with Student Legal Services and sits on the Women’s Legal and Education Fund (LEAF) board. As a previous Governance & Policy Analyst, she is excited about the prospect of incorporating her training as a WFA when she becomes a practicing lawyer, preferably in employment, family or wills and estates.

Andrew is a Senior Mediator and Managing Director of Cassels Cook Mediation Services Inc., Toronto. Andrew’s academic background includes Communications, Sociology and Social Anthropology, Human Resources Management and Workplace Dispute Resolution. He is a member of ADRIO and certified by the ADRIC.

DEPAOLA, RON (WFA)

Ron is a Mediator, Conflict management trainer and Workplace Fairness analyst. He is a member on the Ontario Mandatory Mediation Program roster & serves as a coach/mentor for 2nd and 3rd year law students at Osgoode Hall mediating matters in Toronto small claims court. Ron also serves as a recurring judge for national & international mediation related competitions. He holds a QMed (Qualified Mediator) designation with ADRIO & ADRIC.

As a Certified Social Emotional Intelligence Coach and Certified Workplace Fairness Analyst, Jasmine Do has effectively worked with company leaders to identify areas for preventing workplace harm while yielding increased production. She has over 10 years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies in the fields of human rights, workplace disputes, plus workplace health & safety. Jasmine is also a Qualified Arbitrator offering services in English and Vietnamese.

DONOHUE, KELLIE

Kellie specializes in civility programs, harassment investigations, coaching, and developing and conducting the training that supports leaders in addressing conflict and building respect. Her past clients include oil & gas services, indigenous organizations and not-for-profit sectors. Kellie holds a Master’s in Leadership and a Certified Human Resources Leader designation. She is a WFA and a Psychosocial Health & Safety Advisor.

DRORY, BENJAMIN

Ben is a mediator, arbitrator, and investigator, accredited as a Chartered Mediator and Chartered Arbitrator by ADRIC. He is an investigator in banking and municipal cases, and a coach in York University’s Certificate in Dispute Resolution program. Ben also conducted many hearings and mediations through the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. He holds law and MBA degrees from the University of Toronto.

FOLEY, LINDSAY

Lindsay Foley has worked as a mediator in industrial relations matters since 2007, predominantly within the federally regulated private sector. This has included working with representatives of employers and unions, their counsel and with self-represented individuals in an effort to seek alternative resolutions to matters in dispute. Lindsay holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Labour studies from Brock University, and a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management from the University of Toronto. She is a Chartered Mediator and a Qualified Arbitrator.

Tom is a highly motivated professional, with extensive experience in leading people, managing criminal investigations and developing and delivering training programs. He has four decades of law enforcement experience and is now a Qualified Mediator, Workplace Fairness Analyst, and Investigator.

Gail has twenty years experience in senior leadership, organizational development and wellness divisions at provincial and federal levels. She has expertise in leadership development, conflict management, group facilitation and assessments. Gail is a Qualified Mediator with ADRIC, a Workplace Fairness Analyst, Certified Executive Coach and conflict coach, approaching workplace conflict through a restorative and appreciative lens.

HUTCHINSON, BRIAN

Brian has worked abroad for human rights nonprofits funded by Global affairs Canada, worked as a counsellor and facilitator within indigenous communities, and mediated various cases within non-profits and internally for the government of British columbia. He has served on the Board of Directors for The Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of British Columbia(ADRBC), and is a current member of the board of directors for Nature and Forest therapy of Canada (NFTC).

HUTCHISON, TED

With over 20 years experience in the investment industry, Ted now specializes in conflict management services, particularly in the areas of Workplace Fairness, Problem Solving Analysis, Dispute Resolution, Negotiation and Mediation. Ted is a graduate of both The York University Dispute Resolution Certification and Advanced Programs.

JOLLIFFE, MAY

May is a Qualified Mediator, facilitator, educator and conflict coach. Her 30-plus years of non-profit and government experience includes program delivery and evaluation, adult education, and senior management positions. She is a Workplace Fairness Analyst, holds an MA degree from Ryerson University and an Advanced Certificate in Dispute Resolution from York University.

KAUFMAN, AGNES

Agnes Kaufman, LLM, Ph.D. Ethics, is a Dispute Resolution specialist, Certified Arbitrator and Adjudicator. Her areas of specialization include employment, personal injury, health law, social justice and human rights disputes. Agnes is a member of the Ontario Mandatory Mediation Program and is a Dispute Resolution Educator at York University. She also coaches and mentors Osgoode Hall Law students in Small Claims Courts.

KERUR, SHARAD

Sharad Kerur is a Harvard-trained mediator, conflict management instructor and workplace fairness analyst. For over 30 years, Sharad held senior positions in the union and association sectors, most recently as head of a major provincial association. He also holds certificates in dispute resolution from York University, a B.Com. (Hons) and a Master of Industrial Relations degrees from Queen’s. Sharad holds a Q.Med (Qualified Mediator) designation from the ADR Institute of Ontario, a C.C.M (Chartered Community Mediator) from the Ontario Community Mediation Coalition, is a CINERGY® Certified Conflict Management Coach, and is a Certified Workplace Fairness Analyst with WFI.

KHAN, KHALEEL

Khaleel is a business analyst in the medical industry where he provides conflict management training and develops policy and operating procedures. He also mediates employment, personal injury and other civil matters before Superior and Small Claims Courts. He holds a Canada Lands Surveyor commission and a Certificate in Dispute Resolution.

LEWIS, DAVID

Dr. David Lewis is a specialist in workplace disputes. He is Fellow in mediation with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Chartered Mediator and Qualified Arbitrator with the ADR Institute of Canada (ADRIM), IMI Certified with the IMI Inter-Cultural Specialization, and a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. In his capacity as Director and Lead Mediator with The Expert Group on Amiable Dispute Resolution, Dr. Lewis is involved in international and cross-border conflict resolution advisory work and dispute resolution systems design. Dr. Lewis assists human resources departments in developing programmatic responses to organizational conflict and resolving disputes in the workplace and has worked as an Organizational Ombudsman.

LIGHTSTONE, HELEN

Helen is the founder of the Lightstone Academy for Conflict Resolution, and is a mediator, trainer, paralegal, and college professor. Helen is a Chartered Mediator and a Qualified Arbitrator. In 2017, she earned her LL.M. in Dispute Resolution from Osgoode. She has been dubbed “the Mediation Lady” by her students, a name she thoroughly enjoys. The academy has 3 accredited courses by the ADR Institute of Ontario.

MELNYK, PAULINE

An expert in workforce change and organisational development, Pauline has pushed the bar of best practice and led generational shifts in workplace cultures. Pioneering the Government of Alberta’s first organisational learning & effectiveness framework, she has helped create a respectful, healthy workplace for the government. Recently, Pauline has been retained to build agility and effectiveness across a variety of sectors.

MUNROE, MARJORIE

As the City of Calgary’s Human Rights and Respectful Workplace Leader, Marjorie is currently spear-heading a city-wide Workplace Health and Fairness Assessment. A seasoned expert in the field, she has worked extensively as an Ombuds, was senior partner for Workplace Fairness West, designed and delivered workplace programs with PULSE Institute, and taught with Mt. Royal University.

MUSTAFA, ROLA

Rola has more than 12 years of experience working in the Human Resources and Project Management field with a Global MBA and LLM. Rola is a specialist in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. She is passionate about community mediation, and has been serving as a volunteer mediator with many community mediation services in Canada and Syria. She is passionate about Alternative Dispute Resolution teaching as a means to create peaceful communities through improving people’s mutual understanding. She believes work and workplaces have to be designed with employee well-being in mind to improve team communication, creativity, and performance by instilling the values of patience, collaboration, and active listening skills. Rola is a Qualified Mediator by the ADR Institute of Canada and a Certified Mediator and Trainer by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution, UK. Her unique experience as a lawyer, mediator, EDI specialist, human resource manager, and trainer can help workplaces improve their overall efficacy while maintaining a healthy and enjoyable workplace for staff.

NAIPAUL, SHARON

Sharon Naipaul (J.D.) is a highly skilled mediator and certified WFA with over a decade of experience working in labour and employment law as a private practitioner, litigator, mediator and workplace investigator. Sharon takes a trauma-informed approach, applies an anti-oppression lens to her work and is highly sensitive to the needs of all stakeholders in all workplace processes. She is completing her Executive Certificate in Conflict Management from Windsor Law School.

ORE, LUIS E.

Luis, WFI Americana Latina Director, is Senior Consultant with Ingouville Nelson & Associates, an organization specializing in negotiation and consensus building. He holds Masters Degree with a focus on conflict management, organizational and cross-cultural communication, a J.D. from the University of Lima (Peru), and extensive training in negotiation and conflict management from several universities including Harvard Law School. He has practiced law in Peru in the private sector and worked with the Peruvian government.

PARISH, KIM

Kim is a Chartered Mediator, facilitator, and certified workplace fairness analyst. Kim is an experienced Adjudicator, has performed work as an Ombuds investigator, and assisted organizations with workplace disputes. Kim has a BA in psychology from York University, a post-graduate certificate in Advanced Dispute Resolution from York University, and an LLM in Dispute Resolution from Osgoode Hall Law School.

An associate Mediator & Trainer, Laura specializes in matters of civil justice, specifically those related to employment. She is a member on the Ontario Mandatory Mediation Program Roster, & further acts as a coach for law students at Osgoode Hall & with York University’s Advanced Dispute Resolution Program mediating matters in Small Claims Courts.

RENNISON, ERIN (MA, WFA)

Erin approaches her work with the belief that conflict’s existence cannot be separated from its systemic context. She works with parties to explore their own and others’ perspectives within the greater environment in order to generate understanding and resolve conflict. Her company, Rennison Consulting supports small-medium-sized businesses and non-profit organizations to build peaceful workplaces and communities. With her background in grassroot and elite sport, she has special interest in working with sport organizations to create sport environments where all participants can feel safe, participate fully and be active for life. She holds a Master of Arts in Conflict Analysis and Management from Royal Roads University and is a trained mediator and conflict coach.

ROSAASEN, SHEILA M.

Sheila has over 12 years of Human Resource – Labour Relations experience in the Health Care and Social Service sectors. Her experiences working with Management & Union Relationships have evolved into a passion focusing on the overall health, wellness & safety of an organization. This includes coaching, facilitating training programs & proactively addressing workplace conflict issues. Sheila is honored to join WFI as a Certified Workplace Fairness Analyst. Her educational background includes an Advanced Labour Relations & Organizational Development certification from Queen’s University IRC. Maritza Sanchez is a senior manager with over 20 years experience in the non-profit sector, with expertise in conflict management. Maritza’s Social Work background, coupled with her Mediation, Conflict Coaching, and Workplace Fairness Analyst certification, enables her to implement a comprehensive, thoughtful conflict management assessment process and deliver successful, measurable outcomes.

SAWATSKY, COLLEEN

Colleen is the owner of Finding Your Solution, Leadership Development and Executive Coaching. She serves as a Director with the Foothills Community Mediation Society, and is an active mediator with Community Mediation Calgary Society. In addition, she is a member of the ADR Institute of Alberta and the International Coach Federation.

STRAMWASSER, ISABEL

Isabel offers international conflict management services in English, French, Spanish and Dutch. She can help you prevent and manage conflict through workplace assessments, investigations and restorations as well as through coaching, training, mediation and arbitration. Isabel has extensive legal experience as a trial lawyer (called to the bar in 2003) and as an arbitrator and mediator (since 2014). She has developed mindfulness, compassion and ethics in Buddhist practice since 2003. Isabel has multicultural ancestry and has worked in 16 countries, primarily on social justice projects.

Georg worked as mediator, coach and instructor for over 20 years. He is currently working as an ICM Practitioner for the RCMP, Saskatchewan. In this role, he responds to workplace conflict by providing conflict coaching and mediation services as well as workplace assessments. He has a master’s degree in Conflict Analysis and Management, and teaches courses in mediation and communication, power dynamics and managing the emotional climate in a conflict situation.

Sonia Thomas is a retired member of the Toronto Police Service, with 33 years of conflict management and leadership skills. Sonia is a graduate of the University of Toronto – Rotman Leadership Program, the York University – Conflict Resolution Program, and is a Certified Workplace Fairness Analyst. Sonia holds a Q.Med. designation and is an active member of ADRIO and ADRIC. Sonia now focuses her work on mediation and workplace fairness and is committed to serving all clients and organizations with equality, dignity and respect.
