Workplace Assessments and Fairness Audits

WFOmbuds Office
Are you finding it a challenge to keep up with the ever present demands of today’s business environment? Are you looking for a way to improve your business’s competency and productivity? Do you need support to proactively manage your employee’s needs?

The Workplace Fairness Ombuds Office is here to help you achieve these goals and more by promoting respectful communication and collaboration at all levels of your organization.

Workplace Restoration
Extensive experience in the field of workplace restoration has taught us that each organizational conflict is complex – it is born in the history and culture of the organization and is fundamentally influenced by the personalities involved.  At the Workplace Fairness Institute we have developed a complete suite of workplace interventions that can be tailored to the specific needs of the client.

Workplace Fairness and First Nations

Reconciliation provides First Nations People an opportunity to move forward: to determine goals and a plan to reach those goals.  At the heart of it, the solutions rely on the effectiveness of those developing and implementing that plan. We can help ready your people for the task ahead.

The WFI provides services to First Nations in Canada to help build community capacity that is culturally relevant and sensitive to the unique challenges faced by First Nations.  We provide services which promote wellness:  in conflict management systems design, mediation training, group facilitation, external Ombuds support and workplace education solutions.

Working with David Noganosh, President and CEO of Red Wolf Mediation & ADR Services, we have developed proactive conflict management systems that incorporate the insights of the 7 Grandfather Teachings of the Anishinawbe.

-To cherish knowledge is to know wisdom;
-To know love is to know peace;
-To honour all of Creation is to have respect;
-Bravery is to face the foe with integrity;
-Honesty in facing a situation is to be brave;
-Humility is to know yourself as a sacred part of Creation;
-Truth is to know all of these things.

We work with First Nations Leadership, Chief and Council on reserve, as well as not-for-profit groups and business owners.    We also have experience working with First Nations in Alberta with our WFI Alberta Co-Directors Marjorie Munroe and Michelle Phaneuf.

The Workplace Fairness Institute provides people and organizations with fair, effective and sustainable solutions for preventing, resolving and managing organizational conflicts.

Violence Risk Assessments, Bill 168 Compliant
Under Bill 168, an Act to Amend the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario, every employer has an obligation to perform an assessment of the risks of violence in their workplace.  But how do you get started?  The Workplace Fairness Institute can help by offering training on

    2. Assessing the Workplace for Specific Risks
    3. Developing an Action Plan
    4. Implementing the Action Plan
    5. Monitoring Progress; Modifying the Action Plan
    We provide templates and instructions on performing the assessment and can also work with you to perform some actual assessments to help you get started.
